Apparently, there is a program in California that lets you choose death with medications legally if you meet certain criteria.

In Los Angeles, there is something called the Die with Dignity law where someone with a terminal illness can get medications from a doctor and take these medications on their own to end their own life….perfectly legally. They can take their death into their own hands as long as they meet certain criteria. She’s witnessed it several times and is perfectly painless.
